Log home packages
There is usually far more material to a cypress log home package than just the logs for the exterior walls. Typically, a log home will require log siding for the gable ends, dormers and shed dormers. Porch material may include 6x6 posts, 6x8 beams, 4x6 rafters, T&VG porch roof decking, and railing material. A log home may feature a vaulted or cathedral ceiling, which will include exposed 6x12 ridge beams, 4x8 rafters, and T&VG ceiling paneling. There may be a peeled cypress tree with a fluted foot serving as a loft and/or mid-beam support. Interior walls may be paneled with 1x6 T&VG or 1x8 T&VG. A typical trim package may include window and door bucks, interior and exterior window and door trim, baseboards for exterior walls, soffit and fascia material. Dovetail corners are available.

What K-N does not include in its packages are doors, windows, caulking, nails, stains, insulation, roofing material, interior framing material, non-cypress flooring material, etc. All of these items can be purchased locally, and much less expensively. Moreover, we do not want to limit your choices on these items. K-N will assist and advise you on obtaining these items on a local basis. The only non-cypress item included in K-N’s packages are the steel fastening screws to fasten the logs together, and that is only because the necessary screws are often not readily available on a local level.
